Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS), founded on 29th July 1876 by Dr Mahendra Lal Sircar. It is the oldest independent research institute in India. The institute is working for to the pursuit of fundamental research in the frontier areas of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Energy, Polymer and Materials. In each field, IACS nurtures and give a chance to grow young and innovative research fellows in their doctoral programs. Sir C. V. Raman worked at IACS during 1907 to 1933 on various topics of Physics founding the celebrated effect on scattering of light in 1928, which brought many award or privilege granted as a special honour including the Nobel Prize in the year 1930. Selection Process : Short listed candidates will be asked to provide three (in case of Science D) or two (in case of RA) letter of recommendation before they appear for interview.

Research Associate-I in the Department of Biological Chemistry under supervision of Prof. Arindam Banerjee, Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science
Minimum Qualification :
Ph. D. in the field of Supramolecular Material Chemistry. Candidates who have submitted Ph.D. thesis are also eligible to apply. They will be considered for the post of SRF and will be upgraded to RA-I once they get provisional Ph.D. degree.

Candidate should have knowledge in synthesis and characterization of peptide based soft and nanomaterials.
